Let's Grow the Salinas Tree Canopy!

Under Communities for Sustainable Monterey County, the Salinas Tree People will help grow the city’s urban tree canopy, thus improving ecosystems, climate resilience, and community health through a campaign of tree-planting, advocacy, and education. 

The Salinas Tree People are part of the nonprofit Sustainable Communities for Monterey County. We have monthly community meetings to organize our outreach, advisory, restoration, and trees for private property groups. We are working to support community members in getting trees planted to improve the city canopy, address poor city tree management, and build community involvement in the process!  We are working to support a healthier and more beautiful Salinas.
